The first issue of the series “Der Mensch als Entdecker” leads us into the depths of the Marianengraben.
The Marianengraben, with a depth of around 11,000 meters, is a realm of over 1,000 bar of pressure,
icy temperatures just above freezing, and absolute darkness.

Due to these extreme condifions, only a few individuals—after the pioneering descent of Jacques Piccard and Don Walsh in 1960—managed to reach the “Challenger Deep” in the early 2000s. Among them were well-known figures such as James Cameron (2012). In these uncharted depths live astonishing, partly unknown deep-sea creatures that demonstrate how adaptable life can be. All of this makes the Mariana Trench a symbol of humanity’s desire to explore even the most inaccessible places on our planet.

The crypto stamp once again combines in an innovative way a physical stamp with a digital twin (NFT).
The new series uses a high quality material, new bright colours and a new design.
