Without them, Dresden would hardly be conceivable: the magnificent Semperoper is the city’s landmark and at the same time stands for its cultural significance. The opera house was destroyed twice, and rebuilt twice. Not only passers-by are amazed: the interior also impresses with elaborate ceiling paintings and decorations
