AUSTRIA – Cheiron the centaur, in gold

With Cheiron, the Heroes of Mythology series introduces a protagonist who stands apart from its previous figures. Following Perseus and Eos, the exclusive Crypto stamp Gold Edition 2026 is dedicated to a character remembered not for heroic feats, but for wisdom, knowledge, and humanity. In Greek mythology, centaurs are typically portrayed as wild and untamed beings of nature. Cheiron is the famous exception. As a respected teacher, skilled hunter, and master of healing, he educated many of antiquity’s greatest heroes. These qualities are reflected in the design: Cheiron stands in the heart of a forest, emphasizing his close connection to nature. Surrounded by clouds, he guards a genuine 1-gram gold bar (Au 999.9) at the center of the motif. This strictly limited collector’s item is available in an edition of only 230 pieces and will be released on October 15, 2026, at a price of €500 each.
