The English edition is based on the Polish version published in May 2026. The book, titled Digital Philately and Cryptophilately. In the Web3 Era. 2018–2026, is 576 pages long and offers a comprehensive monograph of this rapidly developing market since 2018. The publication has been expanded and updated with new issuer editions through the second quarter of 2026.

Two main parts of the publication

The book consists of two parts. The first describes the evolution of traditional philately toward digital philately — a phenomenon at the intersection of collecting, blockchain technology, and Web3. The author discusses the diversity of digital philatelic forms, drawing on the definitions of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) and expanding them to include new digital forms. This part also covers the technical aspects of collecting: Web3 architecture, blockchain as the dominant technology in this field, and the NFT standard as a new paradigm of digital ownership. The author points to the variety of collecting platforms and elements of gamification. The chapter devoted to the economics of collecting describes rarity standards as well as trading and auction platforms.

The second part is a catalogue of national issuers and licensors, together with a collection of more than 234 collections and issue chronicles from 34 countries. The issues are arranged alphabetically by continent and country, while the emissions of individual countries are, in most cases, presented chronologically by date of issue. At the end of each chapter there are summaries of that country’s issues and the most important parameters: print runs and links to most national emissions. The book also includes issue statistics and an extensive list of smart contracts — an addition particularly awaited in the new edition. Editorial corrections identified in the Polish version have also been introduced.

The author’s innovative assessment of how obtainable a given collection is helps readers immediately judge whether a particular set of items can be purchased and completed. The assessment is based on the author’s own experience of building a collection over six years. The collection of the author and publisher covers issuers’ editions from 2018 through to the latest emissions of national posts, affiliated entities, and producers of Cinderella-type solutions.

The publication is richly illustrated, with more than 2,000 colour illustrations, 170 tables, and comprehensive summaries of issues from the beginning of digital philately in 2018 through the second quarter of 2026, including selected emissions and announcements from the third quarter of 2026. An important value of the book is the media and substantive support of national and international patrons: national postal operators, operators of collecting and educational platforms, producers of digital philately and cryptostamp solutions and products, as well as blockchain technology experts.

Each collector’s copy will be signed by the author. Every book will receive an occasional first-day postmark — a separate one for each colour variant. All copies of the English edition feature a special ribbon and an accompanying occasional bookmark
